Mangystau 4-Day Expedition

Wake up surrounded by the impressive formations of Airakty and enjoy an early-morning panoramic view of the Valley of Castles.

After breakfast, leave the camp and continue deeper into Mangystau toward the remarkable Tuzbair Salt Marsh.

Tuzbair is famous for its vast white salt plains, enormous chalk cliffs and unusual geological formations. The contrast between the white landscape and surrounding desert creates one of the most distinctive panoramas in the region.

Depending on weather conditions, the salt surface may create spectacular reflections beneath the surrounding cliffs.

Explore the area on foot and visit the impressive natural arch of Tuzbair, with time for walking and photography.

Continue to Karaman-Ata, an important historical and spiritual site in Mangystau. Visit the ancient necropolis and the remarkable Karaman-Ata underground mosque.

Afterwards, travel toward Ybykty-Sai Canyon, known for its sculpted sandstone walls, winding passages and unusual natural patterns.

In the evening, set up camp in the remote desert landscape. Enjoy dinner followed by another peaceful night beneath the stars.

After breakfast at the camp, depart toward one of the absolute highlights of the Mangystau region: Bozzhyra.

Bozzhyra is famous for its enormous white limestone cliffs, isolated peaks, sharp ridges and seemingly endless desert panoramas. The extraordinary landscape is often compared to the surface of another planet.

Begin by exploring the upper viewpoints of Bozzhyra, including the spectacular Martian Panorama and Dragon's Ridge.

From these elevated viewpoints, enjoy breathtaking views across the vast desert and monumental geological formations below.

Continue toward the lower section of Bozzhyra, where the enormous cliffs and rock formations can be experienced from a completely different perspective.

The route then continues toward Mount Bokty, another iconic Mangystau landmark rising dramatically from the surrounding desert floor.

In the evening, arrive at Kyzylkup, popularly known as the Tiramisu Mountains.

The area is famous for spectacular layers of red, white, orange and brown rock, creating one of the most colorful landscapes of the entire journey.

Explore the area before sunset and set up your final tent camp among the extraordinary desert scenery.

Begin the final morning of your expedition surrounded by the extraordinary colorful formations of Kyzylkup.

After breakfast, enjoy a walk through the area and climb to nearby panoramic viewpoints for photographs of the remarkable layered landscape.

Continue toward the Tuesu Sand Dunes, where the scenery changes once again into a classic desert landscape.

Enjoy a short walk across the dunes, take photographs and experience the peaceful atmosphere of the Mangystau desert.

After lunch or a light snack, begin the return journey toward Aktau.

Arrival in Aktau is expected in the evening. Drop-off at your hotel or another agreed location, marking the end of your four-day Mangystau expedition.
