Aral Sea Tour: 3 Days

• 06:00 – Transfer from your hotel in Tashkent to the local airport.
• 07:25 – Flight from Tashkent to Nukus (e.g. HY 11, schedule subject to change).
• 09:05 – Arrival in Nukus, meet the driver and start the drive towards the Aral Sea.
• Photo stops and short walks on the Ustyurt Plateau with its barren cliffs and escarpments.
• Arrival at the yurt camp near the Aral Sea shore.
• Time to walk around, enjoy the surreal landscape and sunset over the former seabed.
• BBQ dinner under the stars and overnight in a traditional yurt.

• Camp-style breakfast at the yurt camp.
• Drive through the red canyons of the Ustyurt Plateau with more viewpoints.
• Arrival in Muynak, a former fishing port on the Aral Sea.
• Visit the famous Ship Cemetery – rusting boats left on the dry seabed.
• Visit the Muynak Local History Museum, documenting the Aral Sea disaster.
• On the way back to Nukus, stop at Mizdakhan Necropolis, one of the holiest sites in Karakalpakstan.
• Explore the nearby Gyaur-Kala fortress, a 4th-century BC Zoroastrian settlement.
• Arrival in Nukus, check-in and overnight at the hotel.

• Breakfast at the hotel in Nukus.
• Visit the Savitsky State Art Museum (subject to opening days and schedule).
• Depart Nukus for Khiva (approx. 180 km, ~3.5 hours drive).
• On the way, visit the ancient desert fortresses of ancient Khorezm:
• Ayaz-Kala – a complex of three fortresses on high hills with panoramic desert views.
• Toprak-Kala – a 3rd-century AD royal city and palace fortress with temples and ceremonial halls.
• Continue to Khiva.
• Arrival in Khiva and hotel drop-off. End of the tour.

• Accommodation in a standard twin-shared room in Nukus (1 night).
• Accommodation in shared yurts at the Aral Sea camp (1 night) with bedding and basic amenities.
• Local English-speaking guide for 2 days (as per program).
• All transfers by comfortable SUV or tourist-class transport according to the itinerary.
• Meals: 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 1 dinner (fixed menu, no alcohol).
• Entrance tickets to all mentioned sites and museums.
• Tourist tax in accommodation.
• Bottled water: 1L per person per day.

• International flights to / from Uzbekistan.
• Internal flight Tashkent → Nukus (can be added on request, price subject to change).
• Accommodation in Tashkent and Khiva (available on request).
