DAY 1

Nukus β†’ Muynaq β†’ Aral Sea

Overnight: Yurt Camp
  • 08:30 – Departure from Nukus by SUV.
  • Stop at the ancient Mizdakhan Complex, one of the region's most fascinating archaeological and religious sites.
  • Continue toward Muynaq, once one of the most important fishing ports on the Aral Sea.
  • Visit the famous Muynaq Ship Cemetery, where abandoned fishing ships now stand in the desert.
  • Visit the Muynaq Regional History and Aral Sea Museum to learn about the transformation of the region.
  • Continue by 4Γ—4 across sections of the former Aral Sea seabed and the spectacular Ustyurt Plateau.
  • Arrival at the Aral Sea yurt camp near the current shoreline.
  • Enjoy sunset, dinner and the peaceful atmosphere of the desert.
  • Overnight in shared traditional yurts.
DAY 2

Aral Sea β†’ Ustyurt Plateau β†’ Nukus

Return to Nukus
  • Morning at the Aral Sea with time for walking, photography and enjoying the remote landscape.
  • Breakfast at the yurt camp.
  • Depart towards the Davlet Gerey / Kurgancha-Kala area.
  • Continue across different sections of the Ustyurt Plateau with scenic stops along the route.
  • Stop in the Lake Sudochie area, known for seasonal birdlife and remote wetlands.
  • During migration seasons, flamingos may occasionally be seen in the region, although sightings cannot be guaranteed.
  • Lunch in Kungrad at a local cafΓ©.
  • Continue the drive back to Nukus.
  • Evening arrival and drop-off at your hotel or preferred location in Nukus.
