Our tour to the Aral Sea could find the answers to your questions. We will drive on jeeps through the endless desert to find remains of the previously great dynasty of Turks. We will follow the ancient Great Silk Road and reach the Aral Sea within 10 hours.
Day 1: Nukus – Muynaq – Aral Sea
- 08:30 Start driving from Nukus to Mizdakhan (~400 km)
- Visit Mizdakhan Complex: ancient necropolis with mausoleums
- Stop in Muynaq - see the Ships Cemetery and local museum
- Explore Ustyurt Plateau - rock formations and ancient sea bottom
- Reach Aral Sea shore and overnight in yurt camp with BBQ
Day 2: Aral Sea – Nukus
- 08:30 Breakfast at yurt camp
- Drive to Davlet Gerey (Kurgancha-Kala)
- Explore more of the Ustyurt Plateau
- Visit Lake Sudochie - possible flamingo sightings in spring
- 16:00 Lunch in Kungrad
- 20:00 Arrival in Nukus and hotel transfer
