Navruz is one of the most important holidays in Central Asia – the beginning of the Eastern New Year, the celebration of spring and farewell to winter. Uzbekistan in March is full of colors, festivals and delicious holiday dishes. This group tour takes you through Tashkent, Samarkand, Gijduvan and Bukhara, combining Navruz atmosphere with the warm hospitality of Silk Road cities.

Day 1 — Arrival in Tashkent Welcome to Uzbekistan
  • Flight to Tashkent.
  • Arrival at Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov.
  • Migration formalities (approx. 20–60 minutes) – passport/visa control and baggage claim.
  • Meet our staff with an “ANUR TOUR” sign or your name at the exit.
  • Transfer to the hotel (20–40 minutes depending on hotel location).
  • Check-in and rest.

Day 2 — Tashkent → Samarkand Afrosiyob train
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • 06:30 – Transfer to Tashkent train station.
  • 07:30 – Departure for Samarkand by high-speed train “Afrosiyob”.
  • 09:38 – Arrival in Samarkand, meet the driver.
  • Start sightseeing program in Samarkand (about 6 hours):
  • Gur-Emir Mausoleum – burial place of Timur the Great and his descendants.
  • Registan Square – Ulughbek, Sherdor and Tilla-Kori madrasahs.
  • Bibi-Khanim Mosque – one of the largest medieval mosques of the Islamic world.
  • Shahi-Zinda Necropolis – unique ensemble of mausoleums.
  • Ulugbek’s Observatory – one of the finest medieval astronomical centers.
  • Samarkand bazaar Siyab.
  • Transfer to the hotel.
  • Rest and overnight in Samarkand.

Day 3 — Samarkand → Gijduvan → Bukhara Pottery & transfer
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Transfer towards Bukhara with en-route visit to famous Gijduvan pottery workshop.
  • Tour of the workshop: observe all stages of ceramic making and painting.
  • Visit museum-hall with a collection of ceramics from Gijduvan and other regions.
  • On request: master-classes of ceramic painting, suzani embroidery and traditional bread baking.
  • Continue driving to Bukhara.
  • Arrival in Bukhara, hotel check-in.

Day 4 — Bukhara → Tashkent Walking tour & train
  • Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.
  • 09:00 – Meet the guide and start walking sightseeing tour of Bukhara:
  • Lyabi-Hauz ensemble (Nadir Divanbegi, Khanaka, Kukeldash and Nasreddin monument).
  • Magoki-Attori Mosque – one of the oldest mosques of Bukhara.
  • Abdullakhan’s Tim – covered bazaar with handicraft shops.
  • Caravanserai Sayfuddin – Center of Handicraft Development.
  • Three trading domes: Toki Sarrofon, Toki Telpak Furushon, Toki Zargaron.
  • Ulugbek & Abdulazizkhan madrasahs – paired madrasahs opposite each other.
  • Poi-Kalon complex – Kalon Minaret, Mosque and Mir-Arab Madrasah.
  • Ark Fortress – ancient citadel of Bukhara.
  • 14:50 – Transfer to Bukhara train station.
  • 15:50 – Departure to Tashkent by high-speed train “Afrosiyob”.
  • 19:44 – Arrival in Tashkent, meet the driver and transfer to the hotel.

Day 5 — Tashkent City Tour Old & new city
  • 09:00 – Meet the guide for a 5–6 hour sightseeing tour of Tashkent (old and new parts).
  • Amir Timur Square and Tashkent striking clock.
  • Theater Square with Alisher Navoi Opera House.
  • Independence Square and Eternal Flame memorial.
  • Earthquake Memorial (1966 Tashkent earthquake).
  • Khast-Imam Square – Barak-Khan madrasah, Kaffal-Shashi mausoleum, library with the holy Quran of Othman.
  • Chorsu Bazaar – traditional oriental market under a blue dome.
  • Tashkent Metro – beautifully decorated stations (first line opened in 1977).

Day 6 — Tashkent Departure End of the tour
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Transfer to Tashkent International Airport.
  • Morning departure flight.
